Individual clinical supervision is also available to qualified and trainee counsellors, face to face or via Skype and also small group supervision. My approach to supervision is to support the work of and to enhance the professional development of the supervisee alongside safeguarding the client.
Counselling is a one-to-one talking therapy. It provides a safe, confidential space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings, to help you get through life's difficult times or to make changes. Counsellors undergo rigorous training that enables them to help you make sense of your problems or to help you make changes you may wish to make. It is not giving of advice or telling you what to do but to help you find the answers from within yourself. I take the view that YOU ARE THE EXPERT IN YOUR OWN LIFE. I work in a non-directive Person-Centred way and will be there to listen and to help you explore your thoughts and feelings, without judgement in a warm, safe and confidential environment.
When you contact me we would arrange to meet at a mutually convenient time at my home where I work from. This would be a two-way type of interview to assess whether or not counselling is right for you and for you to assess if what I can offer you is what you want. The initial meeting would be free of charge. If you decide to procede we would meet on a weekly basis at the same time for as long as you needed to come, we would review this along the way.
£40.00 per hourly session. This is an investment in your self, its effect could be life-long and life-changing. What value can you put on higher self-esteem or self-worth or new found confidence or freedom from past issues or recovery from bereavement? By committing to this investment of both time and money you would be giving a very valuable gift to yourself demonstrating that you do matter and are important for the rest of your life.
